“Amsterdam Castle was a fantastic stay; while the architecture, decor, and interior design kept its historic charm, the rooms had fully modern amenities. The rooms were cozy, yet spacious and comfortable. As a family business, the staff were all very friendly, kind, and thoughtful. The parking area was easy to use. Although we visited in the winter, we can imagine this area will blossom in the summer months. Be sure to visit Exit Coffee and Crepes nearby for amazing crepes!! We will definitely...

“When I checked in, the front desk helped me resolve an issue with my reservation made through Expedia. However, I was told over the phone before my arrival that breakfast was included, but it turned out breakfast is only served on weekends. Due to this discrepancy, I cannot give a 5-star rating.”

“A very nice remodel of a motor court motel with all new interior, heating, and plumbing. Comfortable with large TV and nice beds. Very clean. Future additions might include a microwave oven, coffee cups for the coffee maker, and some wall decor. Overall, a very nice room for basecamp to local adventures..”

“Heat didn’t work, thermostat broken, desk clerk suggested she could bring more blankets (not acceptable fix). Shower head corroded, cream colored stain on carpet between beds, bathroom fixtures just given a once over wipe, not cleaned. Would not recommend.”

“Property looked nice but there is some false advertising. We booked a room with "lake view" but got a room with view to a wall and the street. When asked, was told that "they did not have another room at that price". The room was very comfortable and nice. But cleaning needs improvement. The towels did not smell fresh, in fact, I wondered what kind of soap they use because the bath towels were clean, but smelled awful.”

“The rooms were filthy. D.s.s. has people living there. There are shady people wandering the halls. I was on the first floor, and it sounded like a daycare center/ play ground at 10:30 - 11pm. Front desk could care less. I definitely would not want to stay there if i was a single female. ”
